Delete Your Account

Delete your account anytime from within the Ruh app:

1. Open the Ruh app and go to your profile (the Me tab).
2. Tap the settings (gear) icon.
3. Scroll to Delete account and follow the confirmation steps.

Your account enters a 30-day grace period during which it is deactivated. If you change your mind, just sign back into the app within those 30 days to restore your account.

After 30 days, the following are permanently deleted: your profile, reviews, ratings, comments, likes, private lists, photos you uploaded, and your conversations, for both people in them. If a report or copyright notice about something you posted is still open then, deletion can wait up to 30 more days while we review it, or longer if the law requires us to preserve material. You can still restore your account until it’s deleted.

A few things are kept so other people aren’t affected: collaborative lists and groups you created are handed to their other members rather than deleted, and catalog entries (the movies, places, and products themselves) remain in Ruh’s shared catalog. Anonymized, aggregated data that can no longer identify you may be retained.

Reports about what you posted, with a copy of the reported text, and records of any action we took on your account are also kept, as our Privacy Policy (Section 7) describes.

Some information may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
