Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ruhview mobile application (the “App”), the website at ruhview.com, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Ruh, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has an account, we will terminate the account and delete that person’s information, except as described in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account; maintain and update your information to keep it accurate; maintain no more than one account; and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that contains inaccurate information or that is used in violation of these Terms.
4. User Content
The Service allows you to create, post, and share content, including reviews, ratings, photos, lists, comments, and messages (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.
By posting User Content, you grant Ruh, LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, use, reproduce, modify and adapt (for example, to resize, crop, compress, or reformat it), distribute, publicly display, and perform your User Content in connection with operating, improving, promoting, and marketing the Service.
Photos
A photo you add to an entry, or to your review of an entry, becomes one of that entry’s photos. We may display it on the entry’s page, as the entry’s main image, and wherever the entry appears in the Service and on ruhview.com, including in search results, lists, feeds, link previews, and images shared from the App. It may be viewed and reported by other users. A photo you add to an item created for a group is displayed in the App only to that group’s members and followers, any of whom may share it outside the App. A photo you add to any other entry is public, even if you add it from within a group.
Duration of license
The license granted above ends when you delete your User Content or your account, except that:
- (a) where your User Content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it, the license continues until they delete it;
- (b) the license continues for a commercially reasonable period after deletion, to permit the deletion to take effect in our systems and those of our service providers;
- (c) we may retain copies in routine backups, security logs, and diagnostic records, such as crash reports and session recordings, until those records are deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course; and
- (d) we may retain copies that we are required by law to keep, or that we reasonably require in connection with a legal claim or a report concerning the User Content.
Copies retained under clause (c) are used solely to operate, secure, and debug the Service and are not publicly displayed, distributed, or performed.
Your representations
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant the licenses in this Section and that your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party. With respect to a photo, this includes that you created the photo or are authorized to share it, and that it does not violate any person’s privacy or publicity rights.
Marketing
You also grant Ruh, LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable, perpetual, and irrevocable license to publish your public User Content (meaning User Content that is publicly viewable in the App or on ruhview.com), in whole or in part, together with the username, display name, and profile photo displayed with it, in any media, including on our website and social media, to promote and market the Service. This license survives the deletion of your User Content or your account.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to create, upload, share, or distribute any content, or to engage in any conduct, that:
- contains hate speech, harassment, threats, intimidation, or bullying directed at any individual or group;
- is sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene;
- constitutes spam, commercial solicitation, chain letters, or misleading content;
- impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity;
- infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other intellectual property right of any party;
- manipulates ratings, reviews, or rankings through fake accounts, vote brigading, coordinated inauthentic behavior, or other deceptive practices;
- uses automated means (including bots, scrapers, and crawlers), or any interface other than the App or ruhview.com, to access or collect data from the Service without our express written permission;
- accesses or attempts to access content, accounts, or data you are not authorized to access, or circumvents or attempts to circumvent any restriction on access to content;
- promotes illegal activity, violence, terrorism, or self-harm;
- discloses another person’s private or personally identifiable information without that person’s consent;
- contains malware, viruses, or any other harmful code; or
- violates any applicable law or regulation.
Reviews and ratings must reflect your genuine opinions and experiences. You may not accept compensation or any other incentive in exchange for posting a review without clearly disclosing it.
6. Content Moderation
No tolerance for objectionable content
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on the Service. We may remove objectionable content and may suspend or terminate the accounts of users who post it or who engage in abusive conduct.
Monitoring and automated screening
We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, review, restrict, or remove any User Content, at our sole discretion and for any reason, including content we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We may use automated tools to screen content you submit, and may decline to accept or publish content on that basis. If you believe content you submitted was declined in error, you may contact us at support@ruhview.com.
Reporting and blocking
You may report content that you believe violates these Terms through the reporting features of the App or by contacting us at support@ruhview.com. Persons without an account may submit reports at ruhview.com/report.
You may block another user. Blocking is intended to prevent the blocked user from messaging you or viewing your content in the App, and to hide that user’s content from you. Blocking does not affect content available on ruhview.com. We do not notify a user that you have blocked them. You may unblock a user at any time; unblocking does not restore any follow relationship ended by the block.
Enforcement
We may remove any content that violates these Terms. If you violate these Terms, including by posting content prohibited by Section 5, whether repeatedly or in a single serious instance, we may suspend, terminate, or delete your account. Content may be restricted automatically pending review.
If we restrict or remove your content, or suspend or terminate your account, we may notify you in the App. You may request that we reconsider our decision through the App; for a removal based on a copyright notice, you must use the counter-notice procedure in Section 15.
Intimate images published without consent
If an intimate image of you has been published on the Service without your consent, you or a person authorized to act on your behalf may request its removal, whether or not you have an account, by using the Report feature in the App and selecting “Intimate image of me”, or by emailing support@ruhview.com with (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) information sufficient to identify and locate the image, such as a link to it; (3) a brief statement of your good-faith belief that the image was published without your consent, together with any information that will assist us in confirming this; and (4) your contact information. As required by law, within 48 hours of receiving a valid request we will remove the image and make reasonable efforts to remove known identical copies of it from the Service. Further information is available at ruhview.com/report.
Child safety
We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and preserve the material and related account information, as required by law. We terminate the accounts of users who post such material.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, functionality, branding, logos, and underlying technology, is owned by Ruh, LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or its content (other than your own User Content), or reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the software.
Catalog content displayed in the App is sourced from third parties and used in accordance with their terms, including The Movie Database (TMDB), Open Library, Overture Maps Foundation, OpenStreetMap contributors, and Geoapify. This application uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
8. Third-Party Content and Services
The Service may display content from, or link to, third-party services, including media databases, external websites, and streaming platforms. We do not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any third-party content or services.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content on the Service, including reviews and ratings posted by users and catalog information, some of which is compiled with the assistance of automated tools, including artificial intelligence.
Closed groups, messages, and other access limits
Closed groups, messages, and other features that limit the visibility of content are not intended for confidential information. Content you share through these features may be viewed by persons outside the intended audience, including as a result of the actions of other users, errors or vulnerabilities in the Service, or unauthorized access to our systems. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to share. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any such disclosure. Nothing in this Section limits any obligation we have under applicable law that cannot be limited by contract, including any obligation to maintain reasonable security measures or to provide notice of a data breach.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RUH, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; ANY CONTENT POSTED BY OTHER USERS; UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA; OR ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ruh, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App’s account settings or at ruhview.com/delete-account. Deletion takes effect at the end of a grace period of 30 days, during which you may restore your account by signing in. If a report or copyright notice concerning content you posted remains open at the end of the grace period, deletion may be deferred for up to 30 additional days, and for longer where we are required by law to preserve material associated with your account, as described in Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account and your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may, but are not obligated to, delete your User Content following termination. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, the licenses granted in Section 4 to the extent stated there, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Subject to Section 14, any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.
14. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
You and Ruh, LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court.
YOU AND RUH, LLC AGREE TO WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES’ INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if the claim qualifies. You may opt out of this agreement to arbitrate by sending written notice to support@ruhview.com within 30 days of creating your account. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the courts specified in Section 13.
15. Copyright Claims
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that material on the Service infringes your copyright, you may send a notice to our copyright contact:
Copyright Contact, Ruh, LLC
Email: support+takedown@ruhview.com
You do not need an account to submit a notice. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3), your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- identification of the material claimed to be infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it, such as a link;
- information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
Upon receipt of a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the material identified. If we do so, we will take reasonable steps promptly to notify the user who posted it.
Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. This Section does not apply to trademark complaints, which should be sent to support@ruhview.com and should identify the mark, its registration number, and the location of the material at issue.
Counter-notices
If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to support+takedown@ruhview.com. To be effective, a counter-notice must include your physical or electronic signature; identification of the material and the location at which it appeared before it was removed or disabled; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the notice or that person’s agent.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will provide a copy of it, including the contact information it contains, to the person who submitted the original notice. Unless we receive notice that the person has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the alleged infringement, we will restore the material, or cease disabling access to it, not less than 10 nor more than 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
We will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Each copyright notice we uphold concerning content you posted constitutes a strike against your account. A strike is removed if we reject the claim, or if the material is restored following a counter-notice and the claimant does not commence a court action. An account that has accrued more than one strike may be terminated, and we may terminate an account after a single strike in the case of serious or willful infringement. We maintain records of copyright notices and of the actions we take in response, and may consider a user’s prior strikes in responding to a new notice. A user whose account has been terminated for repeat infringement may not create a new account.
16. General Provisions
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ruh, LLC regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction. You may not assign or transfer any rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means, and we may require you to accept the updated Terms. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of them.
